Tommy D. Overton, Jr.
Tommy D. Overton, Jr. founded The Overton Law Firm, P.C. after a long-standing career with a major oil and gas company. Throughout his career he has practiced as an attorney and an engineer. He has worked in an oil and gas investment banking business and participated in major commercial transactions related to pipelines and distribution systems. His experience and knowledge in pipeline design, construction, maintenance, safety, and operations is extensive and he is often sought by other attorneys to review cases, prepare reports, and testify as a pipeline expert.
Among many other accomplishments, he has authored papers on taxation issues and is the sole member of Limited Liability Companies that own and manage commercial real estate. Mr. Overton is licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana. Mr. Overton is also certified to be appointed as an attorney ad litem in Texas courts.
Mr. Overton serves as a mediator and arbitrator in complex pipeline, utility, highway condemnation, and infrastructure disputes, bringing dual credentials as a licensed attorney and licensed professional engineer to dispute resolution.
